Ready2Ready Project
This past December, Shattuck Public Library and their FOLIO Representative signed an agreement with Friends of Libraries in Oklahoma to be part of the Ready2Read Project. Through this agreement the library received staff training by volunteer storyteller, Valerie Kimble on maximizing reading readiness during story times, $1,500 in early literacy materials designed to enhance pre-reading skills for infants, toddlers and preschoolers and an additional $2,000 grant to purchase for early childhood literacy skills development.
Ready2Read@YourLibrary is sponsored by Shattuck Library, Friends of Libraries in Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the American Rescue Plan.
