Checkers TV is a weekly educational entertainment program featuring Checkers the Inventor, his robot sidekick, Snoozer, and a variety of special visitors including medical professionals, community leaders, police and fire men and women, and other special guests in highly-produced 30 minute episodes. Each weekly episode also includes segments featuring storytelling, author interviews, art projects, science experiments, interactive games, contests, comedy, magic, and exciting short films that will have children on the edge of their seats. You can pick up your weekly craft at the library before you watch each episode!

Summer 2021 is almost here! Shattuck Library is proud to present our new television show “The Reading Road Trip” this summer as part of our Summer Reading Program! Join us each week starting June 7th as Checkers and his vacuum robot friend Snoozer take us on some thrilling adventures. They will be visiting animals from all over the world and sharing fun facts each week. We will be meeting cool guests, creating animal crafts, and learning about some amazing books.
